Completely by coincidence (or not, depending on your views) my camera stopped function on the last day of the year. These are the last two shots I took with it before I had to give it in for servicing of the sensors, as you can see, I was capturing only 1/3 of every frame, but managed to get these two really cool shots of our new year fire. On the left is Aria, our lifeguard friend who Marco has known for the last 10 visits to Puri who helped us with the fire and shrimp. It was an amazing night, under the star studded sky and with no one to bother us, not even scavenging dogs. We only realised it was the new year when the fireworks started to go off around us, and the rhum started to hit us.
